We are a purposeful small team, and like to keep it that way to ensure each build has our full creative focus. Our founder, Wayne, has been a fully qualified Carpenter / Joiner for over 30 years with a specialist interest in fine detailing and quality craftsmanship. Our fully qualified Auto Electrician / Mechanic, Tony, has a whopping 35 years experience in his trade.

Yes, we are very open to sponsorships and collaborations, we have assisted many brands with marketing campaigns or content creation needs. We enjoy promoting the products we love, and working with other brands and businesses who share the same values as us.

We would love nothing more than to help people along on their self builds, but our diary will not allow at present! This is however something we foresee in our future! We are also writing a book, and will offer step by step online guides, so that we can further assist the self build community.

Not a single one of our builds are the same, meaning that times can vary based on the level of detail or size of a van conversion. We take pride in our work and will never rush through the build process, each build has the time that is required to convert a premium, built to last home on wheels! As a guide, we are seeing our van builds take anywhere between 12 - 20 weeks, we understand that this may feel like a long time, but the builds we offer are truly bespoke, and therefore reflected in our pricing and timescale guidelines.

We are not a dealership, so not usually unless in separate agreed circumstances. Typically clients would purchase their own van and then we complete the conversion.

Currently our books are full and closed for new commissions, we plan to reopen them early 2025 to book for early 2026 build slots. Please join the waiting list here to be notified of cancellations or new build slots.

Builds are custom to each client, and can vary hugely in cost depending on personal requirements.

Large scale bespoke panel vans for 2 people, professionally built out by us will typically start at £48,350+VAT upwards (not including van) clients purchase their own base vehicle.

Yes! We do specialise in larger vans, in particular Mercedes Sprinters and VW Crafters, but are very open to converting ANY space however big or small!

We love a challenge here at Van Life Builds, and we are very open to working with clients from anywhere in the world! We are based in Bristol, UK but have worked with clients internationally, including Australia and Germany, to name just a few!
